France is one of the rare nation to still have an openly socialist party who was ruling not so long ago. Don't forget that the french did not have to live through the DDR for decades so they are fascinated by socialism. The green party is rather unecessary in France since the country runs on clean energy, also to note the centre and left wing parties are already including the vast majority of the green party political claims.

He did not give enough free money to the "poor", not enough free housing, not enough free public services. And he only relieved one million poor citizens from paying taxes while they all wanted 5% of the french to pay for everything in the country. In short, he was not far left enough.

Macron's political party is crippled with openly socialists members coming from the Socialist party of François Hollande while also having a few traitors from the left side of Sarkozy's (centre right) party. Macron did not do much when it comes to tax release, the few that he did would still be considered left wing in other euro countries since France is a tax hell. He has not created any prisons, Barely increased the police, he closed a nuclear plant. Hes has been criticized by the far left for not attacking the few remaining wealthy french enough exactly like François Hollande, that's all.

  31. The vast majority of actual voters in France are rich retirees already spoiled by tons of public money that they aquired through decades of socialists governments. Being the richest retirees in the EU and perhaps the world, now they just want to keep the current policies as much as possible, they don't care about the rest of the country.
