For your information: The US is NOT a prospering country. You might be mislead by aggregate economic indicators. See, the "rising tide lifting all boats in a harbor" metaphor is a misleading. In reality since 3-4 decades roughly 1/3 rd of Americans do not benefit from the overall economic growth. Life expectancy is stagnating or even going down. Upward social mobility is markedly lower than in other developed countries. There is the phenomenon of the "working poor". I suggest you read Robert Reich's lucid analysis of what is wrong with US economy (Robert Reich: Saving Capitalism: For the Many, Not the Few). To get more insight I recommend Hochschild, Strangers in Their Own Land: Anger and Mourning on the American Right and Ehernreich, Nickel and Dimed.

The admittedly rough attitude shown in this video could have kept Russia at bay. Leftist on the other hand cared more about the issue which public toilets transgender people shall use.

That thinking does makes perfect sense. As laws are not being imposed but decided by majorities. Every person can favor what that person seems to be fit. So a Christian will not argue that his position shall be respected, as it is Christian (that would be imposing) but because a majority wants a law corresponding to Christian teachings. Such a system is called a democracy, for your information.

Apparently you are intellectually incapable of discerning between "religion in government" and people electing government officials. Now these people have all kinds of ideas from all kinds of sources. As philosophy, religion, tradition, personal experience etc. etc. And all these people are perfectly entitled to participate in the political process, no matter where they draw their ideas from. The USA is a secular republic founded by mostly religious people. Founders understood that, you do not.

Great Reasoning Indeed, lol. So Very Glad that you needed to say It once again ! In accordance with it I would never save anyone from, say drowning in a river. As I could not guarantee that after being saved this person will not live in poverty !

The USA is built on the myth that one is fully in charge of his or her life. Fate has no place in such a concept. That is why in America poverty is considered to be shameful . If only more people would be so frank as you are, US society would be much better.
