That does not add up. It is said that nearly all Afghans are terrified. If so, why did the Taliban not encounter opposition? Some fundamental bits are missing in this puzzle. We never understood Afghanistan. And we still do not understand it.

@umanshahzad5331 One indeed has to allow the possibility that Afghans in their majority are OK with the Taliban. My suspicion is that Pashtuns generally prefer them and people of the countryside of all ethnicities generally accept the Taliban.
