@snakedogman This war was easily avoidable. Which cannot be said of all wars.

Most of us Europeans welcome Trump's initiative for peace. At the same time there is nothing wrong with opening the eyes of Trump to some facts which have escaped his attention. For all the media drama in the end it is a joint effort, with Trump being at the wheel.
15
Quite the contrary. To question a candidate for a non political office about his opinion about a conflict between foreign entities is absolutely irrelevant and comes close to insolence.

@tennyceb Your sarcasm is misplaced. As actually there are people who knowing that they have dementia step down from their jobs. America expects the same decent behavior from Mr. Biden.
6
@tennyceb I doubt that your thoughtless standing is of any value.

@jerryoshea3116 No question regarding Israel and the Palestinians is an easy one. Even within Israel they have very varied and nuanced opinions about that. Now your hypothetical examples all refer to DOMESTIC issues. The issue of Israel and the Palestinians refers to the relations between FOREIGN entities. That is a MAJOR difference. I do hope that this dumbing down will bring my previous valid question to a level where even you can understand my argument. Once you have, you can bring your arguments.

I had a rather negative picture of Trump in 2016. That picture improved during his presidency to say, medium. But seeing how courageously and maturely he handles the massive attacks you are describing I start to admire him. Today I think that behind all his narcissism, his bravado, his occasional clownery there is a man of immense stamina and a real patriot. He has my vote.
5
@jerryoshea3116 Since when do opinions about conflicts between foreign entities give insight about one's character and integrity ? Is being critical of foreign country X's policy a character flaw ?
4
@jerryoshea3116 My point is simple: There are relevant questions and irrelevant ones. How a foreign country (Israel) should treat part of its population or a neighboring population is irrelevant to the job of US judge.
4
@jahualhaq9853 GREAT comment. I fully agree. However who is "he" ? The first guy or the second ? And who is his rival ? The one with the trousers or with the jacket ? And who is "they" ? The ones with him, or with the others ?
3
@jerryoshea3116 The distinction between relevant questions and irrelevant ones is BS ? And the application of a silly and misguided inquisition-like approach in other cases is proof of what exactly ?
3
@angielovesusa Oh sure, great thinker. They should also answer to questions about their preferred sex techniques.
3
@jerryoshea3116 You are unable to organize the multitude of news which is showered upon us. Let me help you: A personal opinion of a judge about the right and wrong in some issue is irrelevant to the decision if people can express THEIR opinions. Likewise his personal opinion is irrelevant if asylum is sought. It seems that you did not get the basics of enlightened thought nor the American Revolution of the late 18th century. But you can still catch up if you are ready to invest some effort.

Trump will enable Biden to win.

It stunned no one of my European friends. They knew that it is a proxy war between the US and Russia. The US invested in Ukrainian soil before and wanted to test the limits of pushing NATO even further eastwards. Now the limits are known and so is the Russian readiness to stop it. Time for peace. Of course it is the main players who will negotiate. And the US tries to keep the EU quiet by making clear that it is a mere protege of US military power.
2
Biden is rehearsing for his first debate. At least that is what Jill tells him.
2
Real polls show that Biden with his steady and experienced hand has a 55-60% approval rates.
2
The US is turning into a gerontocracy. Just as the late Soviet Union.
2
@jerryoshea3116 So you have no arguments to counter mine.
2
That it is not Trump who meets Zelensky but the VP is in itself a powerful message.
2
Much would be gained if Palestinians were finally be seen as human beings and not some fundamental nuisance who dare to be an obstacle to other people's plans.
2
@merlie1254 I'd venture to say that his stamina is bigger than a lot of people's in their 40s.
2
God is not member of NATO.
2
I do wonder why a candidate for a judiciary position in the USA is being questioned about his views about a conflict between foreign entities.
2
@ Dear misinformed David: My European country spends relatively MORE for defense, than the USA does. And it bears a HIGHER risk of Russian aggression including nuclear threat than does the USA. And last time we fought alongside the USA we were then given to Stalin as a gift by US president Roosevelt. No hard feelings - yet kindly tone down your rhetoric. Honestly, Andy
2
@ButYou.. I guess the underlying issue is that we Europeans do not sit in one boat regarding Russia. One thing is geography: The UK is not exposed to a Russian attack by land, unlike say, Germany. Then the UK and France have their own nuclear shield, as opposed to all other countries. So -we shall calmly be aware about such differences, without insulting each other. Warmongers is nonsense indeed.

@jamesbrown9607 James, politics is a big market of mutual favors. Biden was not more moral than Trump is. Nor was Harris, the brutal prosecutor. However Trump is able to achieve things for The People. As he is not a puppet of Wall Street.
2
Step 1: US taxpayer money goes to US weapons industry for weapons to the Ukraine. Step 2: Ukraine returns money to US government. Result: US government and US weapons industry gain. Ukraine and US taxpayers are the losers. Wow, really wow.

Ms. Boebert is so funny.

@janejetson2978 Thank you Comrade for the hint !

Orange Man vs the Senile Sloth. What a fight !
1
Biden following Trump's advice is nice.
1
@marjanmid Look, a POTUS is expected not merely to believe in a system but to uphold it. Biden fails to secure the existence of the republic as he does not even try to protect its borders. That is no small issue: Maintaining control over territory is a prerequisite to statehood. Hence, what is at stake is the existence of the US and the Free World at large. Trump might repair that for all the risks he brings with him. Everything considered that is still be better than Biden, who manifestly fails to do so.

Kamala will beat Trump !

@stephenpirie8900 Thank you Stephen ! :)

Trump is The Man to comment on wildfires. And to incite riots.
1
A nice example of circular logic.
1
If only Trump had accepted his defeat in 2020... But as he has not, he is dead meat now.

@Harhar911 Maybe the stereotypes are the madness.

It is reality which is cruel.
