  1. To include the merovingian and carolingian kingdoms in the history of "France" is a gross distortion of history. Franks were not French.Just as Germanic tribes were not German.

  2.  @aeralu4986  First you state that it is obvious that in the early Middle Ages there was no France. And then you proceed to include the history of kingdoms existing in the early Middle Ages in the history of France. Obviously contradictory.

  3.  @aeralu4986  I disagree. The Roman Empire is not part of the history of Italy. Unless you understand "Italy" as a geographical entity only.
