The obvious rebuttal is - why not use contraception before you get to the abortion part?

@donparker4521 [I understood them to want the stigmatism of abortion done away with whatever the context.] I think we're all on the same page that a medical procedure that you need should not be stigmatized. [ Hope he gets the chance to ask some good questions of her!] I listened to the interview on the live stream version and that's why I think this woman goes way beyond stigma. She's not saying to use abortion as a last resort which is how most people view it. She distinguishes herself as using abortion in any way that people want, including as contraception. And to me (and a lot of other people) that suggests she's advocating for a total lack of responsibility and also glosses over the negative health impacts of abortion that are easily avoided with contraception. Sounds to me like she's so caught up with the political advocacy that she's forgotten that the goal should be, ultimately, about women's health.

@donparker4521 [Because contraception isn’t always 100%?] Except the way they're advocating for it is using abortion instead of contraception, which has nothing to do with that. Most people are fine with abortion under a certain set of circumstances.

@donparker4521 [So do we agree that what’s right for the pregnant persons health is the issue at hand? ] That's what I'm mainly focused on, I think you are too. [And there’s health effects to contraception, and (remember how we got started on this? ) it ain’t 100%, and the deleterious health effects of the pregnancy itself.] Don't I know it, and unfortunately, you have an entire industry that spits out bad information. To me the question is which is worse for your health? Artificially arresting a birth or the drugs/procedures that prevent that birth? Maybe the risks are the same, but I think people can't make an informed decision without having all the information. Chanting a slogan isn't remotely the same as making an informed choice. [ In any event, it just doesn’t seem my business to tell another person what or when to put in or take out anything from their body.] And yet people do any ways *sigh*. I see it a bit like smoking or too much sugar. It's not good for your health, and it's ultimately your choice, but we shouldn't pretend it's good.

@donparker4521 [Is pregnancy an addiction?] Sex is (more for some than others maybe). Cheers!
