  1. One thing to consider - this is in China. Cutting corners in the production of things made in China (like a Tesla) is not out of the question. Redundancies and safety features don't kick in if they were taken out to save money, or just generally half-assed. Wouldn't surprise me if this was the result of yet another chabuduo factory.
