@tomtube1012 Do you also believe that if you see someone on TV steal some sneakers, and you see the same clip on 5 different channels, that 5 pair of sneakers were taken? If you go to a propaganda zone, it doesn't matter how many people go there.
5
Well if the UN says it it must be true. They also say CBDCs are great and all nations should sign the WHO agreement giving them total control. But you is smartz and would never fall for such an obvious con.
5
@tomtube1012 [I can show a video of a prison in any US city and claim it's a detention camp.] Just because you're capable of producing propaganda does not prove or disprove facts. [Unless you have a specific video you want to use as proof, you've got nothing.] And books you haven't read, don't exist? You are so wise.
4
@luceafarul579 And your source for this utopia you call China?
4
It's more than one guy, but they all take the same guided tour for some reason. So, a very diverse experience the more people that take the same trip!
3
@vincesiy1403 [And just because the U.S says it is true does not mean it is.] Just because the US lies doesn't mean other governments don't also lie.
2
@k1_w3 [ It’s the equivalent of taking a guided tour of North Korea...] It actually works EXACTLY the same. It's like they share techniques.
2
People that say that are clearly just anti-trans. :P
2
Sorry, but Don Debar clearly knows nothing about China. Could he tell the difference from a Han Chinese man and a Uyghur man by looking at them? Because Uyghur men are put in camps and replaced with Han Chinese men in the home. From the outside it looks like a family, but it's anything but.
2
@shifeng5051 [That’s the same everywhere, you don’t play ball in any country then you’d be attacked and suppressed. ] This is simply not true. People in free societies are not constantly being expected to promote the government's ideals. The same cannot be said for China. He's right. The CCP will suppress but they also have a history of co-opting religion for its own ends. The goal to maintain control, they don't really care how it happens.
2
@wuw385 [ I did better, I asked my Chinese exchange students and Chinese friends.] Are you familiar with the two faces of Chinese culture? You are so naïve. I've been to China and I speak the language. I know what regular people that don't have deep family connects to the CCP (like the people you talked to) say when they don't think the CCP can get back at them.
2
@jayj6776 [Wow, just can't accept facts right in front of you.] You mean dished out propaganda? Yeah, some of us can tell it for what it is. Why can't you?
2
@ALIEN_857 [This is racism to the core to say a Chinese is a Han or an Uyghur. As an overseas Chinese here, I am offended.] Ok, so you're clearly a liar. Chinese are PROUD to be Han, even when they aren't actually Han.
2
@jk21nola91 It will work in any culture once all the parts needed for it to work are installed. That's like saying now that Nazi Germany is gone, there will never be another genocide.
1
@vincesiy1403 [Where in here did I say other governments does not lie? I was replying to a person who is presuming that what the U.S said is automatically true even without proof while discounting what the person in the video said as automatically false because it runs counter to what the U.S government and its allies are saying. What a troll.] Sometimes the propaganda works because it's true. You're making a lot of assumptions, including that he believes the US on everything. Does Ukraine have neo-Nazis in it or is that Russian propaganda? The answer is both. It's both true, and yes, Russia uses it in its propaganda. Same way the US will use Xinjiang against the CCP. But not everyone that talks about what happens in Xinjiang works for Langley any more than every person that dissents online with the US government is a Russian bot.
1
@drewm9903 [ Except again, your side has no evidence to show for a genocide happening.] Again, there's evidence, you clearly just haven't seen it or you're in a cognitive dissonance fugue state where you can't accept true things. I know people like you. You think books you haven't read don't exist. That's your level of intelligence.
1
@ALIEN_857 True, which is why the Uyghurs are targeted. But as usual, the CCP comes in with an elephant gun and always over does it. So many more innocent Uyghurs have been swept up in the insanity on the off chance they MAY become a jihadi some day. The CCP always goes nuts against any potential threat, especially a domestic one.
1
@nanyanguo1 Then you're clearly lying. China has taken plenty of steps to control religion. No way it would be promoted in the way you say, and if it's tolerated, it's because there's a scam of some kind. They literally kidnapped the Dalai Lama to install their own Tibetan religious leader. They've done similar things regarding the Catholic church where all Church figureheads are loyal to the CCP first, not the Vatican. All things must be approved by the CCP to exist.
1
@tomtube1012 [You can't fake an entire city.] Yes you can. You can create a propaganda zone for foreigners. North Korea does it too. Of course, you can't do this just anywhere, which is why you get led their by your "guide". Go off the beaten path and you might see something real, but your handler won't like it. [You can see their culture everywhere unrepressed.] You can't even tell the difference between a Han Chinese and a Uyghur so who are you trying to kid?
1
@michaelh878 You're so incredibly naïve it hurts. Have you ever travelled in China? Do you speak Mandarin? Because both apply to me and I can tell you, people watch where foreigners go. There are plenty of places you can't even stay as a foreigner specifically because of the CCP attention you bring.
1
Because it is. He literally received the guided tour.
1
You got it. This is a common scam for dumb foreigners that can see them coming a mile a way. North Korea does it too. Foreigners can't comprehend the level of deception that is common place in China. They staple branches to trees for crying out loud!
1
@Make_Ukraine_Russia_Again And the Han Chinese that they mobilized into every Uyhgur "dissident" home. Did they also leave, you liar?
1
Apparently not big in the areas of critical thinking, though.
1
Where do you get your information from? It's sure not China, because I've been there and speak the language you and guys are clearly idiots that don't know when you've been conned.
1
Because he's clearly an idiot that was taken in my a common CCP propaganda scam. If you knew how common it was, you wouldn't fall for it. Don clearly has no clue.
1
@beproudasian8279 Paid for by the CCP. I've been there too and I can tell they're lying.
1
@luceafarul579 Yeah, when it's part of the scam, it's allowed. You're pretty dense, huh?
1
@prototype9904 What you fail to appreciate it is, they both lie.
1
Exactly. People that don't know anything about China are exactly the wrong people to evaluate it. Could he tell the difference from a Han Chinese man and a Uyghur man by looking at him? Because Uyghur men are put in camps and replaced with Han Chinese men in the home. From the outside it looks like a family, but it's anything but.
1
@pashapasovski5860 Wow! Native peoples are equally grateful for their decimation then!
1
@shifeng5051 All they had to do to make Tibet great is move all the Tibetans out, huh?
1
@ALIEN_857 [And yet, if they all moved out according to this warped logic, who then live in Tibet?] Are you dumb? It's what the CCP always do when taking over a minority. They move the Han in and breed the minority out. They've done it countless times and they're doing it to the Uyghurs right now. Are you the 3rd account of ShiFeng/Luceafarul?
1
@idealstoic Yes. You think Chinese can learn English but no one else can learn Chinese? I know better than anyone how the words change depending on what language is used - not just words, meaning.
1
@idealstoic And no, I wasn't there long enough to see anyone go missing. But I also had a handler and have met plenty of people that did. Fortunately, there are Chinese patriots that live in China that are actually willing to talk about the truth. They want to make China better, but they have to be careful who they talk to.
1
@idealstoic 對不起。我只會說,我沒有學習足夠的閱讀和寫作,所以我必須使用Google翻譯。不過,我確實注意到您沒有使用簡化版。
1
@idealstoic [these Chinese “patriots” that you’re referring to, are they by chance similar to the exiled HK riot leaders?] I was referring to individuals I met, not a group of people, but I suppose there are similarities (except the people I met are trying to work in the system - they don't protest). Most typically, they went to school abroad, so their English is good and they have a much wider world view. I met a British trained guy who explained a lot about how Chinese people think and how the CCP actually work. Like many Chinese, he had family he didn't want to abandon, but he also felt like if he tried to run away from the problems of China, he would be betraying his country too. We talked about the Cultural Revolution and how it was totally suppressed in both the school and the culture. That's how I know they refused to even name it. Those that experienced it simply call it the "Ten Bad Years".
1
@idealstoic [you had a handler in China? What year was this? In what region or city?] I've been many times, but my first time going was as a youth as part of an exchange. I don't want to reveal too much (I know actual CCP members), but we hit the major cities but also got to see the more rural towns. We were assigned "translators" that were obviously appointed for their loyalty. And on trips we would get a "bus driver" that was not like any bus rider I've ever seen. The guy definitely had the swagger of military. I remember he always had this giant glass jar of tea he would bring with him, and astonishingly would fit into his military-like fatigue pants' pockets. The guy had a pretty slim physique, and the jar of tea was so big, it looked ridiculous. We all thought it was pretty funny. This giant gar of tea popping out of his pants. Any ways. You learn things along the way about how China really works. First impressions are almost always wrong. For example, we saw open alcohol everywhere to the point we were told by other visitors to China that this was because they have more relaxed alcohol laws than in the west. This is not true. They have similar laws they don't enforce. When they finally decide to enforce a law to arrest you, it probably isn't related to what you actually did. And this was before they passed the "Picking Quarrels and Causing Trouble" law, which straight up allows them to arrest someone for any reason.
1
@idealstoic Have you ever heard of a guy named Zhu Rongji (he was the Chinese Premier)? From what I can tell, he was a genuine anti-corruption member (which is pretty rare in the CCP), which is why they eventually removed him. The guy hated foreigners, but he clearly loved China.
1
@idealstoic [如您所說,我並非中國大陸公民,但我也跟大陸朋友有接觸,他們對中國中央政府的評價一般都滿好的。] The system of control has only developed since I first visited China. Most people don't even know what's going on in the town right next to them. Remember during the lockdowns that people in Shanghai (who usually get privileges that other towns don't get) said there were no lockdowns? Then they finally got them too and they were surprised and complained. Regular Chinese people are easily fooled now, too. The rolling informational blackouts are super effective.
1
@luceafarul579 [why do you not reveal when you traveled?] Why are you stalking me? Why are you using multiple accounts to post pro-CCP BS? Go away wu mao.
1
You should be concerned, and skeptical. He went on a fake tour designed specifically for the kind of dumb foreigner he obviously is. This guy should try going a place without a guide, learn to speak the language, and find out what China is REALLY like.
1
@ALIEN_857 [Clearly, you know not about the Chinese, especially those in Southeast Asian countries.] Clearly you know nothing about MAINLAND Chinese people - you know, the people we we're actually talking about? They are super racist and consider Han Chinese to be the pinnacle Chinese ethnicity, which is why if you were born and raised in China, you will find a way to make yourself Han, even if you aren't (as most families already have, boosting the myth of the Han). Plenty of CCP propaganda is wrapped around the supremacy of the Han Chinese. If you're not lying, you don't understand China at all.
1
@ALIEN_857 [It's nonsense, pure nonsense that you're portraying Chinese as Hans or Uyghurs when ethnicity don't matter to them Chinese] Oh yeah? Ask a Black person what it's like to be in China. Stop lying, you wu mao.
