"I can NOT have a good day, sir, until you've answered my question!" - Ezra Levant at the WEF in Davos Best, most Canadian sentence I've ever heard from a journalist while scrumming. Can't say I'm always a fan of Rebel, but you can't deny they provide the coverage others don't. Kudos.

@richh4003 Yes, so far Ron DeSantis seems to do what he says he'll do.

@godloves9163 A lot can happen in hundreds of years. The story is closer to George Orwell's animal farm now. Don't dwell on the history or founding stories, ask your leaders what they've done for you lately.

Adding James Lindsay to this conversation would include the missing ingredient. That the goal is to exploit, in some cases understandable feelings of oppression, and to maintain those negative feelings precisely to turn them into revolutionaries. To goad negative emotion and mental unhealth and to convince such people that there can never be a place them in the current society so the only choice is to tear it down.

@godloves9163 Not sure what you think I don't know. That the WEF is a problem? Believe me, I already know. Your assertion that PP is part of the WEF is questionable, although I have my own doubts as well. There are a number of reasons to think he's just as likely not to be. So what truth do you want to share beyond those two things? You were referencing the 1600s which is long before the WEF was formed. If you're about to spin me a yarn about a conspiracy going back to the 1600s, save your breath. The idea that the elites want to remain in power at any cost has been an ongoing problem since the dawn of time.

@godloves9163 TLDR, you tend to ramble. To answer your first part, I never said not to pay attention to history, you just inferred that because you have terrible reading comprehension. I said that situations hundreds of years ago don't necessarily apply to things going on right now. This is the lazy thinking of general predictions as if it somehow applies but not real, applicable knowledge that is useful.

Ford has definitely NOT been the voice of the working class - he's been their direct opponent. To say such a thing is to, at the very least, prove you don't know what you're talking about.

@craigmoore5394 So you support the firing of Lauren Southern because she dared to ask an innocuous question about how they were representing a guided tour trip to Israel to their audience? Or maybe you shouldn't blindly follow anyone.

The only thing worth asking Den Crenshaw is what his stock pick is. He's as corrupt as Nancy Pelosi.

I like a lot of what Poilievre is saying but I worry about what he describes as "gatekeepers" as if everything is a superficial barrier. Some things, like foreign doctors, simply do not have the skills to meet Canadian medical standards because their home country's standards are so far apart. I don't think anyone wants a crap doctor just so we can have more of them available. Also, a lot of the fact the Conservative government didn't have to deal with a lot of the economic fallout from the crash was due to Chretien's restrictive policies on bank mergers. We didn't have a banking crisis because Chretien told the banks getting big to "compete" with international banks didn't serve the interest of Canadians so we never had a "too big to fail" scenario.
