Sadly, you're correct. People have noticed this going on in the universities for years, and no one took it seriously. "It's just a few people, restricted to the universities only. You're just being alarmist."

@nataliewalton5118 Stop gaslighting. There is a constant stream of evidence that they are. You're either flat out lying about it, or you just don't think teaching racism is a problem.

@tytlersbicycle From academia to educational institutions and the media.

"There are children listening to this." Yeah, I'm sure plenty of kids tune in to hear local politicians blather on. Rather, older kids will tune in if they know they're going to witness profanity. Nice try, you moralizing fruit loops.

Instead of patting themselves on the back, the GOP should be making some effort to retain that support. The "red wave" is a direct result of the impotence and failed promises of the Democrats. The Republicans offer very little as an alternative. Representatives have to actually deliver on their promises.

They don't want citizens that think, they want a citizen they can control.

I know exactly what you're saying. The more recent equivalent would be a show like Black Mirror (which I recommend by the way). Watch season 3, episode one - Nosedive. Different topic than what you were discussing, but very relevant to what's going on today.

@billsimms2511 No, they genuinely didn't see anything wrong with it because the method is slow and encroaching. That's the insidiousness of the framework they're using. They'll say things like "Shouldn't we be respectable and tolerant? Shouldn't we show more empathy? Shouldn't we be nice?" all the while feeding neurotic vulnerable narcissists who continue to make increasingly ridiculous social demands of the people around them. The problem with lefties (which you can look up in Jonathan Chait's work) is that they're terrible about setting boundaries. That's why this was allowed to spread. It's already difficult for them to say no to something, and this is an ideology that demands more and more.

Outnumbered really did their viewers a disservice with this segment. They glossed over the most evil part. The book teaches children they can't trust their own parents. That if parents make a decision to not share information based on age appropriateness it's because those parents are hiding things from their children and lying to them. Therefore, kids shouldn't trust what their parents say. This effects all parents, just not white ones.

Sounds like California needs to extend Castle Doctrine laws to places of business.

This exposes the far left strategy to defend CRT. Gaslight. Yes, CRT was developed in law school in the 70s. Are children being taught the definition of CRT? No. Are they being taught the product of CRT? Yes! Leftists will say, with perfect accuracy, that people like Robin DiAngelo or Ibrahim X. Kendi are not CRT theorists. That's because they're popularizers! Why does it matter if they created the bad ideas or promoted the bad ideas? We have a problem with the BAD IDEAS!
