  1. The idea that China isn't building debt traps along with its belt and road initiative is just plain wrong. It's not that the collective west is innocent and China is guilty - they're both doing the same kinds of things. I hope that high speed rail they built in Indonesia isn't made with the same materials they use to build things in China, or it's going to breakdown real quick.

  2. Lending rates can change quickly. And western lenders have had a lot of time to get to that rate. Considering that Chinese lenders got to 12% in a comparatively short amount of time should already tell you where this is going. It sure isn't going to stop at 12%.

  3. There's a trend of tunnel vision. They, rightly, don't trust the American propaganda, so they conclude everyone else is telling the truth. They don't seem to realize they are all engaging in propaganda.
