Whenever these guys talk about anything that isn't just China, they usually get it wrong. Even if BRICS doesn't really amount to anything, it's still a diplomatic vehicle in the same way the UN is, which is why countries want to join it.

@VegaTakeOver They're already in the crosshairs of the west, haven't you been paying attention? 29% of the world is now under some kind of western sanction. Millions of people are going to die in Syria due to these sanctions that are only there because the the US attempt at a coup failed and Bashar is not only still there, but has rejoined the Arab League. Yes, the group will be dysfunctional, yes for some members the group will be as useless as the UN, but this is an alliance of the desperate and their ranks are growing. US influence has lost the Saudis who now sell oil in the Ruble and the Yuan. What do you think that means for the petrodollar? It's not smoke and mirrors, the shift won't happen overnight but it's real and it's happening.

If BRICS is nonsense, why are countries trying to join? Apparently Venezuela seems to think there's something to it, even if it's just a purely diplomatic move.

@abcdedfg8340 I completely agree. The YouTube censorship is egregious. Whether something is wrong or not, people should be able to view it and discuss it. And definitely the CCP has proven they have an army of wumao to flag falsely.

@savage7882 [What you forgot to state is that the US is deliberately moving away from Saudi Oil. Saudi Arabia is by far the biggest instigator of conflict in the Middle East, the US is playing their game because they control the energy market.] I didn't forget, there are plenty of inputs into what is going on, that's just one of them. And yes, the US has been trying (and failing) for years to move away from dependence on oil. Why do you think every President begs to the Saudis and let's them get away with whatever they want? The neocons literally started a war with Yemen to keep the Saudis happy. That's not something you do when you have the upper hand.

@busking6292 [ I might be wrong..] Yes, you are wrong. The agreement is to price in Yuan means the Saudis are willing to take payment that way. Of course, I doubt they want to hold on to it for too long considering how the CCP is constantly is playing games with it. The would insist on buying Chinese goods with the Yuan they just got - and thus a reciprocal relationship is born.

@petermeshackjobs8076 [ the Dola used to be backed by oil and gold but due to many policy changes it is no longer backed by oil coz they want to print more money to pay debts.] Most countries switched to a fiat currency, not just the US. This is a different issue. [so even it the oil is traded by other money, as long as dola is accepted all over the world, it is not going anywhere.] No one said it was. It's not the end of the US dollar, the claim is it's the end of its supremacy as a reserve currency. That will take time to prove, but what I'm saying is that people moving away from the US dollar lends itself to that narrative. [by the way if Saudi drops the US, even if the Russians and china backed it with security, they will be toppled with lots of enemies they made while trying to protect themselves using the US.] Again, not dropping the US. Ignoring the US complaints, and no longer only selling oil in US currency. [Who told them that Iran likes obeying peace especially the one as frail as that made with the Chinese government] Not sure what you're saying here. And you may want to note that there's a revolution in Iran right now that isn't being covered by most corporate media that is demanding the return of a royal figurehead. You may recall it was the US that overthrew the Shah and ushered in the theocracy that now rules it.

@VegaTakeOver It's not just Venezuela, that's just one example. And I don't think you understand that all those countries are being pushed into each other's arms precisely because of western policies.

@ronnelacido1711 Yep. It's not tinfoil hat stuff, it's just self preservation. Which apparently people don't seem to grasp. Our policies are making these things happen.
