  2. Well, then don't. Upgrading every generation is kind of an overkill anyway. And probably by the time you need ray tracing, you can just buy a 2180 or something.

  3. What I'm curious about is how much faster did these GPU-s get in non-ray tracing applications. Ray tracing won't be a big thing for quite a while, it's cool and all, but too bleeding edge.

  4. The price is pretty high, yes. And you can't really blame Nvidia for releasing a new technology, that nobody developed for before it could be done reasonably.
