It feels like Syria is going to make it. They appear to be embracing democracy and human rights. That's the way to go. Russia can't mess them up anymore.

Trump doesn't know that all of North, Central, and South America are the "Americas." I just don't think that fact has entered his tiny mind.
27
Oh that's fun. We had this in the USA for a couple of decades, although I didn't get to visit there, and it was called unironically "Dick's." I think it was just in the midwest- like Cleveland, Ohio or something. Not sure.

He has a cat on his shoulder in the painting. 😞These are good guys who just wanted to protect their fellow Ukrainians. It's very sad. It's not right. I wish my country would help more. Slava Ukraini from Arkansas, USA. 😢

The older people screwed younger British people with Brexit. I hope GenZ will put things right and rejoin the EU.

Now THIS is a proper interview! I love this. The kids are adorable. I'd watch more interviews like that- even about Trump.
2
It wasn't 1 million people. Dictator Saddam INVADED Kuwait. So he started it. It was 100,000-150,000 casualties which is horrible. That's what happens in a society with a dictator.
2
Like the dictator of Russia?
2
Russian imperialism works in such a way that Russians move in, everybody moves out because they don't want to be around terrorists. This has go on since 1400s. Who wants to become a serf for Russia? Nobody. I think all trophy lands stolen by Russia must be returned and Russia must be returned to it's 1400 land boundaries and NEVER be allowed to have a military again, and all leaders MUST be at least 50% women.
2
Russia will pay for this war for generations and we're make sure of that.
2
Ukraine needs more weapons and ammo..They need the long range ones.
2
There's absolutely no reason NATO forces cannot attack Russian invades in Ukraine. The US did it in Syria. It's time to show the bully that he doesn't get what he wants at the expense of literally everybody else in the world.
2
We will work it out together! I hope that the government allows Sweden soon!
2
@FlockOfBIRDS-k7d Americans won't let him do anything that ignorant.
2
@aminuaidara8601 Oh, you're repeating the same line all the other bots are saying but if Russia wasn't running out of ammunition then why are they begging from North Korea and Iran? Ivan, sit down, you're not good at this.
2
Sounds like religion is a great way of introducing a lot of stupid drama into your life unnecessarily. Obviously better to give up all the fairy-tales and join the rational peaceful human beings who live without it. If it turns out that there is a god or gods, I'm sorry to say that I don't believe the religious people will be on the A-list when they die.

I live near Chicago in Lafayette Indiana, America's third smartest city, and I'll add to this that when you go up to this observation area, you also experience the swaying of the building due to high winds. Chicago is called the windy city. The swaying is what makes this trip a more frightening experience! If you know to look for it, you will feel it up there!
1
@EGvids1 First, you are definitely an i-d-i-o-t. Second, we're not sending "money." I live in Arkansas where the HIMARS factory is located. It's doubling in size. Those are high paying, US jobs. Third, it's not a "proxy war." Lastly, circle back to my first point.
1
So Russia begging North Korea and Iran for really old, inaccurate ammunition doesn't at all back up that claim, huh?
1
Another fact check: Russia signed a treaty with Nazi Germany. Russians literally allied with Nazis. England was no allie to Russia who literally picked England to be allies last after they were clearly losing the war.

Bloggers will do anything for clout. Sell out humanity.

I remember when the white Evangelicals suddenly decided to become political. That's when TV preachers simply didn't have enough wealth and power- they wanted more and they were able to very easily turn their congregations into their cult followers. Today, those people struggle to relate or see reality. I seem them constantly falling prey to conspiracies, or scams, or some bullshit fascist leader that's just going to funnel more of their money to himself. I would never believe it had I not seen it with my own eyes for decades.
1
US is not a 500 year old colonialist genocidal country that's invading Ukraine, Georgia, Belarus, and Moldova.
1
What's the name of the journalist in Korea? Jake Kwan? He's really good. He explained all of that extremely well.
1
So Russia begging North Korea and Iran for really old, inaccurate ammunition doesn't at all back up that claim, huh?
1
@terryf3282 That was immediately factchecked by the CIA who said Putin was, unfortunately, in great health.
1
Trump doing anything with the military will probably be the end for him. Americans will oppose all of that and they would push him out if he tried.
1
"But we're peace loving" except for that 300+ years of #RussianImperialism that has been largely nonstop. The famines in Ukraine by Stalin, the gaslighting, exterminating, the genocide, the kidnapping of children, the bombing of innocent people, the stealing of land. Ukraine was just the first stop. Georgia, Moldova, and Kazakhstan were next!
1
How long are you Russians with your fake profiles going to keep mindlessly commenting that? You know that it's not working, right?
1
Putin is so weak. He needed to claim 88% for his fragile ego! I know some Russians, none of them voted for him despite the fact that he murdered all of the legitimate candidates.
1
@TheAArmstrong LOL! I really thought he would be slick and say 65% or maybe 70% at the most but 88%? I guess he just could not help himself. So weak.
1
That was probably the most badass move right there. Good work, BBC. Obviously, nothing you ask him will get an honest answer but you did well!
1
I wish the voices of the uninformed, like you, would just stop commenting.
1
@exvandal187 It's the same with any religion. There are 43,000 different autonomous Protestant Christian ones. I think greatness in Syrians right now are their ability to be fully inclusive and welcome them all in.
1
 @djharto4917 Nope, I'm good. I don't smoke or drink.
1
Why doesn't it surprise me that Putin is helping autocrats in this country too? Maybe NATO should up its engagement.
1
"Peace loving and generous" but 99% of the entire country are stolen from other people across Asia. Sure. That 500+ years of #RussianImperialism is so generous.
1
Russians, don't let your dictator get you unalived. The genocide in Ukraine that you're not stopping is going to make things really uncomfortable to all of you at some point. It's just a matter of time.
1
I'm sure Iran and Russia are telling Houthis to keep it up. That's going to get a lot of people killed.
1
Look, I know we all support Ukraine. Conservatives, liberals, centrists, and we need to keep up the support! It doesn't cost us anything. You're paying probably .01 cent, .01 Euro tax to literally stop over 500 years of Russian imperialism. Plus, we all get new weapons so that Russians sure as hell won't dare invade our country!
1
Oh hey Ivan, you're supposed to be fighting for Russia. They need more meat attacks. Good luck, Ivan. The average lifespan of a Russian soldier is like 3 days.
1
So Russia begging North Korea and Iran for really old, inaccurate ammunition doesn't at all back up that claim, huh?
1
It's really easy to talk about peace when your country is not the one being invaded by over 500 years of Russian imperialism, colonialism, and hegemony.
1
What is up with British journalists giving all of these reich-wing cockwombles a platform? Guys, give it a rest. NOBODY cares what some reich-winger shock jock has to say about anything. If we wanted conspiracies and "trust me bro" then we'd call up our racist uncle.
1
There were not 1 million deaths in Iraq of any kind. It was 130,000 killed during the war that dictator Saddam started when he invaded Kuwait. That is what happens when you foster, enable, and appease dictators who try to revise history and falsely play victim.
1
@notrecyborg5492 We can because there are graves. Sure, there was probably sectarian deaths too where one Iraqi group attack another but ultimately we have a final count. For this cockwomble to pluck a number out of the reich-winger propaganda air is a whole other thing. He just picked 1 million. That number probably originated from the Krenlin trolls and was echoed throughout social media and even to legitimate journalists. That's how propaganda works.
1
@Ricky-oi3wv Again, the "millions of Iraqis" is a Russian propaganda talking point. There were many casualties, but not 1 million. It was 130,000. That's a lot and that's what happens when a dictator controls a country. Pick up a history textbook and you'll see that pattern.
1
Steve Rosenberg, this is exceptional reporting. I think you should get back now. You cannot trust Russia. You made it very far!
1
I'm sure it tastes better. Sadly, if Putin wanted to win wars and be successful imperialist then he should have done it with fast food. That's something he could actually win at. That and being NATO salesperson of the year.
1
Lot's of Russian bots in the comments.
