It's still a very dangerous world. It was difficult to imagine another 1900s world war until Russia invaded Ukraine again. Russia is the largest country in the world by land and has been invading, stealing, colonizing, gaslighting, disrupting for over 500 years. That will never stop unless we unite. There are other dictators who can rise up. Joining NATO would protect India both from external dictators and the chance of one rising from within India. You can imagine, this could happen in any country. I think 2016 US elections gave us the warning.

I'm proud that my country is helping Ukraine.
1
Putin's puppet. So surprising to see Hungary on the wrong side of a war AGAIN. How many times now? How much land was carved up from Hungary because of their very bad, very horrible choices?
1
@ykjo5613 It worked for the USA. We are a nation of immigrants and the most powerful nation in the world.
1
I really believe Syria is going to do it!
1
This is just dumb. There's no aliens. I'm sure there are somewhere but they're not here.
1
The fast exit from Afghanistan saved lives. Ok? It's not rocket science. The terrorists, the militias were all ready to strike.
1
Trump is like a child. You can't make a deal with him. He can't even read. He doesn't even read but he sure can echo Putin disinformation. Lean on Europeans.
1
Relax. It will happen. The new leaders just have to take some steps first.
1
Abrams are too heavy, require a different fuel, consumes a LOT of the special fuel, would need long training, are not familiar at all to the Ukrainians, are far away. Scholz is stalling. I'll remember that when I'm buying things and I see that "Made in Germany" label. Poland, I cannot wait to go on a shopping spree for products you all make!
1
My American friend is in Ukraine now and I'm helping his squad get a new drone to give up Russian location info. He said that for every 1 Ukrainian that's killed there are about 3-4 Russians killed. He said many are taken out of action by being wounded and this happens even before the advanced weapon systems arrive. We can all play a part to stop Russian imperialism. Russian imperialism is over 1000 years old so it's never going to stop, we just need to be ready. This is REGARDLESS of what you think of the Ukrainian people. Just help, end this, and we will all benefit.
1
@Sha-Ayo Russians did it to themselves. They condemned the US in Iraq and then did this? No thanks. That's just 1000+ years of Russian imperialism but it stops now.
1
Look at all the comments! Everybody here knows that Putin is gaslighting Western media and like robots they simply repeat what he tells them! Russians have been using cluster bombs throughout the Russian war in Ukraine and the Russian war in Syria.
1
I don't know, how well did it work out for Ukraine after giving up nuclear weapons for peace?
1
A constant debt brake is bad economics, in my humble opinion. It should be a variable instead and change with an index of economic indicators.
1
Sure, Russia hates NATO because NATO stops over 500 years of Russian colonialism. Stop whining about it.
1
It's almost as if Vladimof Putler was planning this war the whole time and expected to be annexing Georgia, Moldova, and Kazakhstan by now.
1
I think we have plenty of historical context. Russia is looting Siberian diamonds and those profits go straight to Western Russia. There's 400+ years of history of Russians looting lands of their resources all the way back to Alaska and the fur trade. Let's not be so naive.
1
Trump doesn't like weak but he is weak and that's why he aligns with dictators in Russia and North Korea.
1
@nikkotan2840 Nope. Trump's word is meaningless just like Putin's.
1
Translation: "More ports, less military bases" that stop the dictators. You are promoting a dictator ruled world, @jayzhang7527. Get off the moral high horse and stop clout chasing.
1
The dictators are helping each other out. I'm trying to think when this happened in history. Hmm.
1
People forget too quickly that Le Penn was working for Putin and would like to break France away from the EU leaving it with it's pants down. You really hate immigrants so much that you'd destroy your country?
1
Well said Igor Zhovkva!
1
Ok, hear me out: NATO nations present a counter offer to African nations? I mean, a good deal. One that moves any developing nations in African into a fully developed economy status?
1
@urikamoment I think the mainline Republicans will support Ukraine but not the fascist, pro-Putin, MAGA ones.
1
US General Milley did not suggest a stalemate and he only suggested negotiations on the distant chance that Putin would leave Ukraine through diplomacy. That's all. He said Ukrainians will be able to push Russia out but it won't be soon unless it was through diplomacy.
1
Roman Dobrokhotov brought food for thought. Good interview.
1
I have lived in Red states my entire life and I can tell you that the "woke war" isn't a war at all: It's Republicans clinging desperately to power and seeking a boogyman. It's to the point now where even their rich donors cannot save them and so they're becoming more and more delusional and bizarre. DeSantis is cashing in hard and selling out his country in return.
1
US is a country of immigrants and it made us the strongest nation in the world. It has given us a booming economy over a century.
1
I don't know what to say. Philippines and the USA are blood brothers. Our history and culture are intertwined too tightly.
1
@cell5002 He's not bought and he isn't the only leader pivoting away from China. The USA did. He does not seem to like dictators. Xi is a dictator, Putin a dictator and he hates them. Maybe he is going to do a good job for Argentina. I hope so.
1
"Port investment without conditions" = perfect for dictators to write off human rights and continue dictating.
1
You "Free Palestine" people have made the world much more dangerous and eager to support dictators and you don't even know it. These ports make it easy for human rights to be avoided and that means the dictators have room to rule.
1
Egypt, if true then you're in a world of trouble. You have no room to burn your US bridges.
1
It's not a contest. All dictators must be stopped.
1
Putin has been drafting ethnic minorities and rural men in order to hide the numbers both abroad and domestically. He's killing people.
1
India is only using Russia for cheap oil. Once Russia cannot supply that then it's over. Russian colonialism is over 500 years old, Russia would invade and take over India in a heartbeat. India knows that.
1
Vladimof Putler is trying to use Xi and China. If successful, the credibility of China and Chinese leaders will forever be smeared. I think Xi knows Putler is trying to play him and he won't fall for it.
1
How did appeasement go during world war 2?
1
They do want to talk about it because dictators can appear anywhere at any time and post a threat to the world. Thankfully, the US has some bases. You forget the history.
1
Obviously, the lying is extremely loud and obnoxious. He's the one who ran up major US debt and almost always unnecessarily and on something ignorant.
1
Or DW is emphasizing the loss of human rights means dictators have plenty of room to work.
1
Orban has made friends with Putin and US MAGA cult but this isn't the first time Hungarian people were on the wrong side of history, and the wrong side of a major European war. Somewhere around one or two million Hungarians left Hungary, or leave Hungary to work abroad because they cannot survive on Hungarian wages. There are only 9-10 million Hungarians in Hungary! They're extremely vulnerable and dependent on the EU. Don't believe the Orban cult when they say they don't need the EU.
1
Putin gaslights endlessly. He's very weak and that's why he constantly lies, gaslights, projects, blames others, falsely shames others, and plays the victim. He's the leader of the largest country in the world and still claims he's the victim. LOL
1
Your father's economy taxed the rich more. Republicans ruined that.
1
@karabomafa5609 Oh gawd, so be a Kremlin pawn then like you? No, but I will laugh at you instead. Okay? Russia has been a colonialist and genocide force of evil for over 500 years but somehow I'm the US pawn? Sit down.
1
You're not going to hear about Ukrainian losses. Look, over 320,000 Russians are dead or severely injured. I want you to think about how many people that is. How many did the USA lose in the last two wars combined? Nowhere near that many and Russia is only in barely the second year. At the end of this war, there will be over 1 million dead Russians who fought for the ego of the Russian dictator.
1
@rouslankoutchiev6026 It is and that's why Ukraine needs our help and even Russian people need our help. If we help defeat Russian colonialism and genocide in Ukraine then the war stops and Russian invasions stop.
1
Sounds like we have some Russian factories to level to the ground.
