  2. For the US population and using a TRUE randomized sample where each one of us has an equal chance of being surveyed then you only need a sample size/n of 1800-2000. However, if we dig into the methodology of these surveys and polls, probably they're not scientific. I bet they're just calling people and we know some generations don't even answer calls at all.
