@derekardito2032 How can anything be considered evidence against God, when we have no way of determining what that even means? If God is simply considered a being powerful beyond human comprehension, then there is no basis for disregarding it as a theory. Would not the universe itself be evidence of a creator? Both theories seem equally plausible considering we as humans know essentially nothing about the universe. I struggle to see how anyone could claim that God is any more OR less reasonable of an explanation for the universe as we understand it.

@Derek Ardito I might not have worded my first sentence clearly. Maybe some religions call the universe God, but that's not really what I'm referring to. If a God exists, it could've created the universe that we perceive and exist in some other way we can't comprehend. When you say we know enough to know there was no need for a creator, what does that mean? There is no answer for where any matter or energy or anything came from in the beginning so how can it be said that the universe didn't need a creator, or that the big bang isn't evidence of a God? Just because we as humans see our universe one way doesn't prove or disprove anything. We can try to explain every theory based on what we can observe but when it comes down to it something must come from nothing at some point, and the belief of a God is equally absurd as believing the universe exists "just because". I don't have a side on any of this I just think that it's not sound logic to rule out one theory entirely when we know absolutely nothing about our universe.

@derekardito2032 if I theorize it, then it is a theory. Imagine having such large amounts of hubris to say that you have even the slightest idea about the origin of our universe. It seems like you're too stuck on repeating things other people have told you instead of thinking for yourself. The fact is, humans do not know basically anything. There is exactly the same probability of our universe having a creator as there is not. Anyone who attempts to say otherwise is deceiving you once again.
