  7. It's not confused at all. If you understood the complexity your mind would be blown. The myriad of deities are simply aspects of Brahman (or in the case of this video, Shiva). It's easy once you get it.

  15. My white Canadian friend who lived in Japan, but now lives in Toronto had a huge issue with anyone using the word "Oriental". I never use it myself, and I'm also a white Canadian of Christian background who lives in Japan, and also happens to be a Vedantin. I do use the terms East and West as they seem to be useful, but perhaps they're not.
