  1. In North American English, "America" means the USA. It would be better to say "The Americas", or even more clearly, "North and South America". Anyway, yeah... You never hear about anyone driving all the way from the Arctic Ocean down through Canada, the USA, Mexico, continuing all the way into South America and down to the southernmost point, or vice-versa. It seems like such an obvious adventure to go on. Also, what with gas prices, it's not so doable though.
