  3. Just the opposite. The reason why Anchorage was so important was that many flights would fly over parts of Russia, and therefore be near Anchorage, making Anchorage a place for refueling. Now, all those flights are completely changing their routes and will be nowhere near Anchorage. On the other hand, Anchorage will be more important for the military, being so close to Russia. Money will pour into the area funding military activity.

  4. Actually, it will be less used because tons of flights used to go over Russia, but those are being changed now. Anchorage won't be anywhere near the new flight paths.

  8. Just the opposite. The whole thing about flying over Russia is what made air routes go close to Anchorage. Now that Russian air space is closed, all of those non-Russian flights have to re-route, sometimes completely far away from Anchorage.

  13. Better than now. The climate will be more bearable, more fresh drinking water will be available, more land will be available, shipping routes will open up. What? Do you think the ocean will rise so much that Anchorage will be under water? Psh.
