Also, they got away with more, because they were never recorded, like now when everyone can take photos and videos with their phones.

It's not scary. I live in Japan and remember this time. She was guilty. It was obvious.

OK. If you look into the case a little more, you'll find that it's obvious she poisoned the curry. It's unfortunate how many people here are defending her or at least thinking she might be innocent. @lizpantelis

I love your accent, and you dress nicely. Thanks for the story.

You feel that way because you obviously weren't in Japan at the time. She poisoned the curry. She loved the media attention. It's not about the neighbours not liking her. It's about her not liking them. Obviously there was enough evidence for a death penalty conviction because that's what she got.
2
Be quiet. She did it. It was so obvious. You're just watching a video by someone who wasn't even there, made many many years after the incident. She killed the people and she loved it.
1
No way. You were obviously not around in Japan at the time. She did it for sure. She loved the media attention to. She was arrogant and she was happy that she killed people.
1
Same here. It's amazing how many people here in the comments are just clueless about the case, thinking she might be innocent.

I remember this story from when I first moved to Japan. She was in the news all the time.
1
You know why you feel that way? 1. You weren't around in Japan at the time. 2. That's the way the video was made. 3. The video maker wasn't in Japan at the time. On the other hand, I remember this. I was living in Japan. She obviously did it and she loved the media attention. She thought she was above everyone and she was happy she killed so many people that meant nothing to her.
1
No. I remember this being in the news when I first arrived in Japan in 1998. Nobody was framing her. She was loving the attention from the media. She was arrogant and had killed people. She set herself up to receive insurance money from some of their deaths. She definitely poisoned the curry.

OH, be quiet. You obviously weren't in Japan at that time. She did it. She killed her neighbours. Don't defend the killer. Think of the innocent people who died. Better yet, go to that area and ask the locals. You'd be too chicken though.

"Feeling" isn't the best way to go. Don't just watch a video on YouTube by someone that wasn't even in Japan at the time. It was blatantly obvious that she poisoned the curry. She was so arrogant about it, just loving the media attention.

If all you've done is watched this video, then maybe it wouldn't be obvious. I'm really surprised by the amount of people here suggesting that she might be innocent. However, I was living in Japan at the time and it was obvious. She loved the media spotlight. She wasn't acting at all like an innocent person. The evidence points to her. She knew all about how to get rich from insurance and she had signed herself up to be a beneficiary for some of the people she hoped would die. She had the poison available to her and she had the motive of making money off of people she didn't like. She was always smiling when the media came around. She enjoyed her infamy. Maybe you had to be in Japan at the time. I doubt there's anyone in Japan who believes she's innocent. Like many criminals, she simply doesn't want to be executed, so she lies and says she's innocent. Her kid killed herself because she couldn't live with the guilt of a murderer mother. If she truly believed she was innocent, she would fight on. @lizpantelis

There's no way she's innocent. You had to be there. It was so obvious.
1
Oh, give it up. Look into the case. She was clearly guilty.
1
No. She was so arrogant at the time. I remember.
1
Being rich isn't necessarily a good thing, as many people think it is.
1
It was. It killed people.

You also have to admit that there is guilty by association. You can't be fully responsible for another family member, but if you're living together, you do have an influence on each other.

@chainsoar The hell? Are you stalking me? "These comments"? You're digging up some old comments and deciding to make a personal jab instead of addressing an issue. Lame.

@Antikyth Oh.
