  1. As a Canadian, it's been weird watching the USA turn from what looked like a cool place to a country that stubbornly keeps voting in morons and keeps killing people in other countries. Growing up in the 70s, the USA looked for to me - The Monkees, Gilligan's Island, Scooby Doo. The 80s were OK. At least there were space shuttle launches and good music. Then everything took a 180 for me when the US decided to go to war in the Middle East. I thought Americans had learnt from the 60s and Vietnam, but apparently not. I couldn't understand why my peers were going to a region they knew nothing about to kill for oil. It hasn't been good since then. Even Obama sucked because he kept the wars going, just with a smile on his face.
