In the UK we don't have them anywhere now but l have made them for music festivals where they are surprisingly popular attractions The wisdom of the crowd usually means people have fun and laugh hysterically .Friends or family protect the restrained volunteer if things get too lively so stop at fresh tomatoes, eggs and wet sponges soaked in a water based paint. If guilty of a real crime l can imagine things escalating. This silly cop would not be crippled physically but would be extremely embarrassed by a rotting vegetable shoved into his 😳for starters Groups of excited people always having creative comedians who play to the crowd Personally l believe the punishment deserves reintroduction to the penal system. A valuable and publicly visible deterrent in the current era of reality TV ? Locking felons in boxes for long periods is expensive, not always rehabilitation and boring in many cases I'm not jesting
