  1. There are Leaf Cutter Ants here in Louisiana but they are rare. We had a large colony behind the home I grew up in. They really liked the "China Berry" tree near our chicken pen but I`m not sure what the real name of this tree is. The large ants were very interesting to watch because they cleared pathways and even made short bridges over obstacles.
