  1. I use solar for a tiny window air conditioner as a last resort after hurricanes. The logistics/problems/dangers/shortcomings of solar charging a 70 pound lithium battery would take me all day to even begin to partially attempt to explain. You learn the truth once you build a small system. I usually just charge it up with regular AC power before bad weather. The solar charging damages the battery and makes me very nervous so I only use it if absolutely necessary.
