  2. Try roasting a turkey from off-grid solar power in a regular electric oven. I`m guessing the cost would be more than quadruple the cost of one of these electric cars since it costs about $50,000 to run the smallest window air conditioner. In fact, it may be far more, because of the massive number of panels required to produce and STORE enough power under cloudy conditions which is only about 5 watts charge input per 100 watts of panels.

I learned this from actual experience because I built my own emergency power system. Hey, it`s nice to have for sure, but it can`t run my 400w window AC from the sun because of clouds unless I blanket this entire area with a very expensive and unsightly GIGANTIC solar array. My freezer stays on at least so that`s good. I can do that....
