@juanitamora4857 The day the area opened to the public, after the water in the area had dried up, the parents contacted police and asked them to go into that area with them early that morning, an area that was previously underwater. A great distance into the swamp, at a place where Brian and his family had camped before, with police present, they found the backpack and bones. Do you seriously think police were wading around in deep snake and gator infested water a mile back in a swamp searching for this guy early on? The parents told them about this location in September. Then it rained and flooded. Brian was likely killed by infection, parasites, insects, exposure, lightning, snakes, spiders, gators, or any number of horrible things in these swamps or a combination. A sudden rain and you`re neck deep and surrounded by these things and a sitting duck. He was found in the most dangerous type of terrain in the USA to be caught in during severe weather or rain at that time of year.

I live in Louisiana and you just don`t go into certain places this time of year ever. My God the wasps alone in a swamp in September could be a death sentence.
