  1. Grapes used to grow hundreds of miles north of current locations in Europe and not so long ago glaciers destroyed entire farming communities in the mountains of Europe. Now that these are beginning to melt some people are panicking. The only reason civilization was able to form was a highly unusual period of climate stability. Ice and mud core records proves this.

  2. @D. If the Gulf Stream slows or stops it can freeze parts of Europe and the northeastrn parts of America very fast, triggering fast cooling. A few volcanoes can dim the Sun and cause freezing temperatures for years. So can an asteroid. There are many dynamics that can change the weather. In the 1970s they predicted particles from pollution would cause rapid runaway cooling leading to a fast approaching ice age period.

Grapes were grown hundreds of miles north of where they currently grow now. Anything like this happening today, like all weather now (see crazed leftist comments each time it floods or a tornado or hurricane happens) would be blamed on humans. Ridiculing storm victims doesn`t help the loony leftist`s crazed causes. The 1840 Natches tornado would be blamed on "climate change" today and leftists would celebrate.
