  2. Yep. Every single prediction of "visible comet" since has been wrong. I bought a cheap Celestron 70mm Travel Telescope anyway, plus I have their 15x70mm Skymaster binoculars. Get the relatively cheap JOILCAN AH75 tripod for these. It`s sturdy. The one included with the telescope is junk. Also upgrade the included 45 degree diagonal (it`s for daytime land views) to an Svbony 90 degree (for space views) and the Celestron 10mm eyepiece to a Plossl. The Svbony 2x Barlow will double magnification for long range daytime views or closeups of the moon. I saw the bands of Jupiter with these upgrades so the telescope is a great value overall and has a quality main lens. You can get an expensive zoom eyepiece. Some say it`s worth it.

  3. I considered going to see this eclipse. But then I remembered the two words..."Cops & Texas." Nope! I love Texas but cops there actively scheme constantly to figure out just how many of your rights they can shred in one day. I don`t want to be the next victim. Too much to lose.
