  1. In my area here in Louisiana we were hit by two hurricanes in 2020. This was right before I finally got my stimulus and my Social Security. Three weeks in extreme heat...no electricity. As soon as I got my stimulus I bought portable solar power stations, solar panels, small DC fans and lights, and a dorm fridge two of the power stations can run to keep some food fresh and have cold drinks, a small gas generator, plus DC rice cookers and cup water heaters for solar powered cooking and instant coffee. I got nice long range portable radios too so the next time it happens I can find out what`s going on if cell towers, home phones, and local radio towers are damaged again, plus water filters to make bad tap water germ free. Doing what I did is called "personal responsibility." But guess what? When hurricane Ida hit New Orleans, even after all that free money, it was MY FAULT.....AGAIN....and it was "RACIST" because a certain group had none of these things and no clean water, light, way to charge phones, no cold drinks, and no fans....NOTHING AT ALL! MY FAULT!
