@joelm6631 I grew up in the outdoors in rural Louisiana. I`m a master of felling trees for firewood, farming, trapping, hunting, fishing, camping, foraging, etc. I have water distillers, filters, every type of rechargeable battery made, solar power, a large portable radio collection covering 98% of the radio bands, and my mower and tiller are both electric. I have a huge collection of open pollinated seeds and my yard is a garden. There`s a creek nearby. Extremely rural area. I live in a 5th wheel camper with an expensive roof over it that cost more than the camper.
Now I wish I had that money to go full time off grid solar. But at least I`ll always have enough power for the basics and enough in Summer for 12 hours of air conditioning per day. Those of you who think this subject is a big joke are in real trouble. Those of you who`ve always hated self sufficient rural folks look foolish. All these "green energy" types are even bigger hypocrites...full of talk but have never touched a solar panel. All they`re about is hate for people like me and this country. Most of these types won`t survive what they`ve done to our nation.

@jasonm949 I don`t go there because fat democrats might step on my foot. I just ate wild persimmons. Zero cost. Sowed turnip, kohlrabi, radish, mustard, spinach, beets, kale, arugula, collards, and other seeds that thrive in cool weather on the dying grass in my yard while it was pouring rain earlier. There`s enough rain and mild temperatures in the forecast to get them sprouted and growing until mowing season begins next March. Easy, no till gardening, and can be grown all year except the hottest part of the dog days of Summer when sweet potatoes, okra, amaranth, pole beans, and blackeyed peas thrive. .
