doesn't support windows; it's not going to be the language of 100 years. it's not going to be anything at all.

take a look at C3

@satinxs8 it's always kind of sad when developers bring their personal ideologies into their work. andrew is also hostile towards windows, but at least he begrudgingly supports it. the most chill out of the bunch is ginger bill. and we know windows will be a first class citizen because odin is developed on a windows machine.

@e.alvarez2843 it can remain irrelevant, if that is the author's intent.

@charliesumorok6765 C works fine on windows. the win32 api is in C. you must be referring to Microsoft support for C which is lacking, but clang and gcc are available as well.

@charliesumorok6765 from their website: "Hare does not, and will not, support any proprietary operating systems." guess what kind of OS windows is?

@johnosullivan675 so if you're only developing for Linux embedded systems, you're good to go. if you want to develop for all embedded systems, including the proprietary ones, you go with another language. it's a very limited subset for anyone wanting to use this language. the smart choice would be to pick a language that doesn't come with bias baggage.

@replikvltyoutube3727 nobody said it can't be done. it will probably end up fragmented into small groups maintaining a separate fork of the language for their proprietary OS. some may decide to take it into different directions. this will only damage the language in the long run.
