  2.  @jimstenlund6017  Normally I would agree but atleast main suspect had a gun and his younger brother was home. Maybe not telling them nobody was home would have gained time for brother to call police from back/locked room.

  3.  @jimstenlund6017  Shouting at them to leave from cover would be best prevention. No guarantees of safety especially with two suspects, atleast one armed.

  4.  @johndavila151  Okay but then you are choosing to increase your risk of those armed robbers entering your home, potentially shooting you, family. (And additional psychological harm of family). I would rather they stay outside, prevention. Here you saw an extra man, suspect at end. Could have been three, four. They wait round corner, in getaway vehicle. They then potentially could enter / armed or retaliate later, revenge when your not home, family is. What if they own the home. Let them know, confirm it's occupied. Fool who doesn't. They did leave, may have from less. Additionally camera has clear footage of gun, police will then take seriously. Main suspect was found, arrested, his friend or accomplice has not been found. Knows the address.

  5.  @johndavila151  Wait for two suspects atleast one armed to enter, with younger brother home? Normally I'd think wait until entered, retreat behind another door/locked, call police with firearm. But here, first prevent don't say your not home from cover shout to leave maybe throw something at door. Younger brother or himself call police, get behind another locked door or fire at door,they left. I agree with your firearm guidance I just think needs to be in context of situation.

  6.  @johndavila151  They may have been knocking / ring camera to see if anyone was home, gun as backup. Not saying your not home on ring camera, speaker is prevention. Shouting is second prevention as may think your lying on speaker, thinking why not accept for maintenance, didn't care they were on camera. Their are no guarantees he would survive if broke down door and saw his gun drawn. Yes as both mentioned brother in back room, maybe himself aswell. Gun ready as police called.
