  5.  @edc1569  Norway is the single biggest supplier of gas to Europe since the war started! Or it was earlier on, it might have been overtaken by US LNG now but anyway, it's making incredible profits from this war. Obviously nobody is arguing it would do it without the approval of certain other countries but it certainly has the incentive.

  6. Nicely put. IMO it's naïve to even pretend another country did it. Even before the Hersch article, it was highly suspicious that no proper investigation was allowed. Much like the Wuhan lab - if there had been nothing to hide, the site would have been thrown open to international inspection.

  8. Peter Zeihan is a shameless neocon propaganda merchant. If Gazprom wanted to get out of the contract all it had to do was have someone accidentally shove a spanner in the turbines and claim they can't be fixed due to Western sanctions. Nobody except Putin can make Gazprom pay if they don't want to pay, contract or no. Instead Zeihan is arguing the Russians destroyed literally hundreds of millions of dollars worth of their own gas plus did billions of damage to infrastructure which they mainly own plus lost their leverage over Germany in the process. As Biden would say - C'MON MAN!
