  3. Look at it this way - if Russia really had any worry about losing the war it could 1) conscript another half a million men or 2) use a nuclear weapon to threaten the West to back off. The fact that it has not bothered even running another round of mobilisation suggests to me the Russians think the war is under control.

  5. More realistic is about half of that ... still a lot of people. And most of them will never go back because after the war, the economy will be destroyed. There's no coming back from this for Ukraine.
