  4. The US army fights third world partisans. In a major war, it's not always going to be possible to evacuate wounded soldiers. You can't just fly a helicopter in on the front lines like in Afghanistan or Iraq. You think the Russian army sucks but the Russian army is winning against a major country of tens of millions of population armed by all of NATO.
