Plus both are keen to escalate the Ukraine situation no matter that it's destroying our economy and Russia was provoked.

@regina1892 He's severely messed up as chancellor. Worst chancellor since Gordon Brown.

Nobody with a brain seriously believes there was no attempt to cover this up. Jailing people for what was known to be the truth is blatantly totalitarian.
2
@smillner771 There has never been a "free and fair election" in Ukraine :)
2
@IvanLeonard-b7y There was no need to discuss territory at that point because at that point Russia had no territorial demands. Now Russia is in a stronger position, it's too late. Zelensky gambled on the West and lost.
2
@IvanLeonard-b7y No kidding? As if anyone didn't know that. Since it's not obvious to you Russia was willing to withdraw back to the January border.

It's not about how many years we have to wait for an operation, it's about whether our grandchildren have a country to live in.

Robert Kennedy Junior - but they hate him almost as much as they hate Trump.

Appalling though they are a Tory GE loss would bring in Labour who would be even worse.

@MaxDamageTV I'm a swing voter. Yes, Labour are even worse than the Tories. High tax, high public sector bureaucracy party whose support base are 95% people who take out more from society than they put in - including a lot of high paid parasites. Pro-immigration despite that being a disaster for the working class. And infected with wokeness.

Last year it's possible artillery inflicted 75% of the casualties, this year, it's FAB bombs and loitering munitions which are the big killers. Obviously Russia has a huge advantage in both of these too so your point stands.

Meanwhile. Africa stays African, India stays Indian and China stays Chinese.

@markford-h7l And how did that work out for the Native Americans and the Australian Aborigines? It's hardly an argument for allowing it to happen to us!
1
@smillner771 You're obviously bluffing, you clearly don't know the first thing about Ukraine. if you think there have "tended to be free and fair elections in Ukraine", widely regarded as the most corrupt country in Europe before the war, read Ukraine in the Crossfire by Dutch journalist de Ploeg.
1
@smillner771 "Business or government corruption doesn't necessarily correlate with electoral corruption" - true - it doesn't necessarily. But in Ukraine's case there has been plenty of all of it. Yes it's true before Maidan no single faction dominated consistently. Basically governing politicians were so outrageously corrupt (from all factions) incumbents were often jettisoned. That's not actually evidence that elections were clean just because incumbents often lost..

It's just deluded to think Russia is a threat to Europe, a continent being overrun by immigration from the south.

Taube subtly gives the impression he might not like Trudeau.
1
Zelinsky is a slime ball, anyone who thinks he's a saint is a moron.
1
Since Russia is now winning decisively, why would Putin want to stop the war before Ukraine is so decisively defeated that so called "security guarantees" whether inside or outside of NATO are anything other than on Russia's terms?
