@chemistryconcepts7782 Sure, the labour. Engineers, technology, management and capital were mainly French. Later on the British took over. Without the French/British technology and engineering, it would never have happened. If only labour was a factor, the canal would have been built thousands of years ago.

@chemistryconcepts7782 Yeah France paid for it. Labourers get paid with cash, not with ownership of the end result. If you think it was built entirely by hand you should be embarrassed I'm giving you a history lesson on your own country. Literally hundreds of steam engines were used. Steam shovels, dredgers, ships etc. Sorry but face facts. Egypt at the time wasn't capable of this.

@bobbobby7536 Look at England for example, the Celts invaded and took it over from the original post ice age settlers, the Romans came in and took it from the Celts, the Vikings and Angles and Saxons came in and took it from the Romano Britains, the Normans came in and took it from the Saxons this is the history of humanity going back since before history was written down.

@hidesinlonggrass3229 The Canaanites were there before there was such a thing as Jews. Jews and Palestinians are both descended from the Canaanites. If you really have to go back thousands of years to justify stealing land of recent inhabitants then it just demonstrates how weak your case is.
