@burritosls "interests of the West." Not really, more like the interests of the Bidens, the CIA and Blackrock.

@piotrd.4850 There might not be signs of Ukrainian collapse but there are certainly signs that the Ukrainian army is under desperate pressure and has severe morale problems. The Russians are just being patient. They have large reserves ready to go now.

Yeah because nuclear war is nothing to worry about right? And there's no way the world's largest nuclear power is never going to retaliate

@philiplbrown Propaganda numbers. Actual identified Russian dead are around 50,000 for the entire war - including Wagner convicts. This year, Russian casualties have dropped right off.

@FactCheckerGuy If the initial invasion was aiming to take the whole country, it would have driven towards Lvov from Belorus. It aimed only to take as much as possible of the southeast and also to cut off GLOCs to Kyiv to force the Zelensky government into negotiations - which was somewhat successful because the Zelensky government actually came to an agreement in peace talks before reneging on the deal.

@rmdomainer9042 If you'd have been following the fighting you'd realise the Russian army is still getting stronger whereas the Ukrainian army is now getting weaker. Russian casualties have dropped off since the start of the year. It's slow but Russia's taking ground.

@rmdomainer9042 Both sides have started using light vehicles for assaults because there's the perception that mobility trumps protection. The Ukrainian army acknowledges it now has a chronic shortage of artillery. It has recently downgraded mechanised brigades to light infantry because of a shortage of armoured vehicles. There's no comparable problems on the Russian side. In terms of manpower, there are documented cases of Ukrainians mobilised then killed a few days later. Nothing like that has happened on the Russian side since the emergency following the Kharkov defeat, that's a long time ago now. Lastly the Russians are doing 90% of the attacking nowadays.

@rmdomainer9042 Both sides are using old equipment. Ukrainian territorials have been issued with First World War Maxim guns. Nobody denies the Russians have the advantage in equipement.

They've already planted anti-personnel mines on the Romanian border to stop men fleeing conscription. But they're on the side of democracy right?
