It's the delusion that America is above the rest of the world which comes partly from the huge US economic dominance after WWII but that dominance has been attenuating ever since and the rest of the world resents American government arrogance and hypocrisy. Failure to realise that the US is becoming one great power among several rather than the global hegemon is immensely dangerous and will probably be America's downfall.

  6. The Russian ground military hasn't been neutered. It's going to come out of the war stronger, better led, better organised, bigger and more experienced than when it started the war. All US policy towards Russia achieves is binds Russia and China into a closer alliance. It's moronic.
