Seems overstated to me. Sure we see a lot of destroyed Russian vehicles but it's a large scale war. Both sides are suffering casualties. That doesn't mean the Russians aren't winning. Their advances are slow but they're still advancing. So long as they can keep advancing, sooner or later their spearheads are going to join up and Ukrainian formations will be cut off. In any case, why would we take Ukrainian government claims about Russian losses at face value? For example they claimed two IL-76s shot down, one full of Russian airborne troops. Two weeks later, do we have any further details? Where's the crash site? The only photos we've seen are from a Ukrainian aircraft shot down in 2014.
