@ArnoSchlick Russia is fighting a major war and it's surviving just fine. The war will probably end in 2025. Russia's medium term prospects look pretty good to me.

@ArnoSchlick The whole world has declining birth rates. The Russian birth rate is about average for Europe. The high military spending will be scaled back after the war. The economic problems only last as long as the war does and aren't severe enough to affect the country's ability to fight. If you want to see severe economic problems, France and Germany seem to be ground zero and Britain isn't far behind.

@twoheadedtasmanian1481 Russia, one of the world's biggest food exporters can barely feed itself? What planet are you on? FYI the reason there wasn't mass starvation when the Soviet economy collapsed is because not only can Russia feed itself, most Russians can feed themselves! Most Russians grow a lot or most of their own food. Even city people have gardens out of town.

@twoheadedtasmanian1481 LOL China disagrees with your assessment of what China should do. Outside of the West most of the world is sick of the US abusing the US dollar's status as the world reserve currency and accepts Russia's position that it was provoked into invading Ukraine

Russian-Chinese relations have never been better both are united in opposition to the USA. Chinese-Indian relations are not good but have improved. BRICS has legs.

@iivarilappalainen9836 I like and admire Finnish people but I notice on anything related to Russia, their rationality disappears and they succumb to delusion.
