  1. No not really. Machine learning systems can behave in ways unpredictable to the designer. The designer is more like a parent. The parents has control at the start of the child's life but the child becomes more independent over time and may ultimately outshine the parent.

  4. That's fair but just be aware that the main problem is not religion, it's ethnic difference. Kicking out or jailing the worst imams is useful but is at best a minor mitigation. Most the of the rioters don't care about Islam even if they might be from a Muslim background.
