A big chunk of the Rostov na Donu population obviously favoured Wagner.
1
Deliberately targeting civilians? Looks like a desperate attempt to provoke the Russians into something stupid.
1
@timdyer5903 The US and UK have illegally invaded plenty of foreign countries since the end of the Cold War. Yeltsin warned European borders were up for grabs after NATO created the precedent of seizing Kosovo off Serbia.
1
It's not unwinnable because Ukraine is slowly running out of manpower whereas Russia is not even mobilising the huge army they could. With patience, Russia will win this decisively.
1
It's just a BS narrative with zero evidence
1
Has there ever been a single bit of evidence that Russia intends to attack any NATO country? Much less is able to? No? Well then drop that ridiculous narrative.
1
By this time next year it'll be obvious Russia is winning.
1
There were serious negotiations a month into the war, Ukraine tore them up after a visit by Boris Johnson. There were more negotiations recently, Ukrainian's Kursk offensive makes it obvious the war will only end now in a Ukrainian collapse.
1
Looks like the Ukrainians are still making gains in Kursk and are doubling down. The Russians are probably going to have to pull across to the north of the river west of the salient.
1
A reversal of the US sponsored coup of 2014 which expelled the democratically elected president and put in place a NATO puppet government.
1
@fnorgen No it's because the distribution system can be repaired fairly quickly, repairing actual power plants could take years. Yes it's true power plants are harder targets. But they're also relatively few in number. A single Iskander could knock out a thermal plant.
1
@laughingbuddha1926 Russians build their own weapons. A few smuggled microchips are a rounding error compared to the total cost of a helicopter or tank.
1
By which time their manpower losses will exceed their population many times over.
1
@orlock20 11 million Ukrainians have already left their homes. I severely doubt they're all going back after the fighting stops.
1
@khubza8999 Pretty much true though. The countries with the most ammunition an artillery have not banned it - China, North Korea, Russia, USA.
1
"relatively small operation" in Bakhmut - where Ukraine has 60,000 men defending a single town. How big is the British army again?
1
@patlelion The sad thing is even if the war stopped tomorrow, Ukraine is permanently depopulated and impoverished. And the war has a long way to run yet.
1
Apparently she's never heard of NATO's own little war of aggression in Kosovo.
1
@gregorysurovoi3968 Russia has hit Ukraine with something well over 5000 missiles and drones destroying much of its power grid and almost all of its military manufacturing. Ukraine sent one back and we're supposed to be impressed?
1
@yxmichaelxyyxmichaelxy3074 Well the USA outspends Russia by a huge amount but Russia can still produce more of important categories so the Russians must be doing something right. Communism ended over 30 years ago, it's like a distant memory for Russians now.
1
Yes it's a desperate propaganda attempt by Ukraine to drag NATO in
1
There are people who claim the world is flat should we give them a platform too? Russia reached the Western outskirts a week ago. There is now photographic evidence of Wagner soldiers even in the last Ukrainian strong points.
1
Four legs good two legs bad
1
No, he'll just say it wasn't strategically important. And that Russian losses were massive.
1
@boink800 Yeah there's tons of proof. It's been going on literally since 2014. In 2022, they were hitting it with petal mines which are mainly dangerous to civilians and animals with hardly any military utility. Not saying Russia are right and Ukraine are wrong but in this particular case, yes there is proof.
1
Because he's in a country which is lobbing missiles at Russia and the world is on the brink of the most destructive war ever?
1
Doesn't matter though, the 1% of the population in Britain who follow the war closely know it's propaganda but the vast majority won't know enough to see through it.
1
@WinterXR7 That was a Ukrainian S300 (in Poland)
1
It was designed to ensure the heaviest fighting would be in Belgian territory rather than French territory. It worked a treat.
1
The guy is just making up rubbish. Russian servicemen in Ukraine are not conscripts at all - they're contract soldiers ie. professionals. The conscripts are most of the Ukrainians - and most of the DPR and LPR soldiers. And the DPR and LPR guys are fighting for their homeland even more than most of the Ukrainians - because it's their own area they're fighting in. Let's give him a pass for saying Peter the Great is an architect of the Soviet Union - I think he meant Russia. It's his analysis of the war which is the real problem.
1
No not totally encircled but the last roads out are under fire control.
1
Ukraine is desperate to pull NATO into the war. The actual radiation released would be negligible at least relative to the thousands of people dying in the fighting.
1
@christiandauz3742 No Russia isn't using T34 tanks that's just moronic.
1
@TheCriticalSigma But at what cost?
1
Yeah and maybe the Ukrainians are bombing Kiev
1
By international law, Kosovo is part of Serbia. .NATO destroyed the convention that European borders are inviolable.
1
What policies? Encouraging foreign immigration so Scotland becomes like Bradford or Oldham?
1
The UK government obviously regards the public as expendable, look at how they're so busy replacing us with immigrants.
