Are you talking about the European Union?

Yes he's a neocon propagandist. For example in this video he totally ignores the improving relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia - a really huge change in the Middle East and not to America's advantage.

Turkey and Greece are both in NATO.

@AlfaGiuliaQV Yeah seriously I do. Only ignorant Americans think it's unusual to speak several languages.

I'm not convinced that Africa can control Europe but it's certainly true that a more balanced judgement (which you're never going to get with Zeihan) would acknowledged the huge change in geopolitics that relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran are improving. Cutting out the petrodollar brings advantages to both oil producers like Saudi Arabia, Russia and Iran and oil consumers like China and India. Although Zeihan would love for the US to be able to flick the sanctions switch at will, the rest of the world says no.

@TorianTammas I speak French German, Czech and Dutch, also at a basic level, Italian Greek, Slovak, Polish and Spanish, I've lived in Netherlands, Czech Republic and Germany. What lack of knowledge about the EU are you referring to precisely?

And take them to San Francisco, Los Angeles or Detroit.

@xkaiokenx10 He's not a bit biased towards the West, he's a Neocon propaganda mouth piece. He ignores obvious facts which don't suit his agenda and he exaggerates facts which do suit his agenda. First time I heard him I was impressed. After i heard him talk about things I knew a bit about it became more and more obvious he deliberately misleads. Also his incorrect pronunciation of so many well known people and places suggest he pretends to know far more about some topics than he really does.

@jaybee4577 How? Which African country has a navy big enough to challenge Western navies? Besides which future European trade with Africa is likely to be routed through Russia. And it's not something Europe relies on to survive anyway.

@Mrgasman1978 The EU didn't start with the current members. It started with a small subset ... like BRICS. Since you need explaining, the original EU (then EEC) members had had massive disagreements very soon before the EU was formed (ie. France, and West Germany). The EEC helped reconcile just as economic cooperation under BRICS should be expected to help reconcile earlier enemies.

@kreb7 The EEC didn't have any of that when it started. If you think BRICS isn't important then you're living in your Peter Zeihan propaganda bubble.
