If (when) the USA turns to shit, Russia and China will be busy doing their own thing. For Russia that's the Baltic, Black Sea and Caucasus. For China, it's the China Sea, Taiwan and Africa. They're not going to need to or be powerful enough to get heavily involved in the Americas.

That applies to Ukraine, not to Russia. Russia is fighting the war with professionals and volunteers of all ages. As for Ukraine, there is a huge shortage of young people, so many weren't born and of those who were, so many have left the country already.

@wcjones4079 No, a few hundred thousand Russians left but most returned after a few months when it became apparent the mobilisation was very limited in scope and affected reservists only. Millions of Ukrainians left. The Russians mobilised reserves after the Kharkov offensive defeat b ut since then they've been able to grow the army with volunteers only (yes, including convict cannon fodder). The Ukrainians have been pulling in more and more people. For the past year there have been vids of the Ukrainian army ambushing guys on the street to bundle them away into recruitment vans, even using an ambulance to ambush from. There have been battles with fists and even axes between guys trying to escape. The Ukrainian army even mined the western borders to prevent guys escaping into Romania.

Hard to argue Vietnam wasn't a major war too. If you want to argue it wasn't a major war because it wasn't a total war then you should also likewise argue Ukraine isn't a major war for Russia.

@davidjones6389 So is the argument that America hasn't fought a world war since fighting the world wars?? Or is it that according to you, only the world wars were major wars? Either argument is too dumb to bother discussing.
