@chapter4travels There are good reasons for that, mining some of that stuff is an environmental nightmare. That's why China is the world's biggest supplier, they care less about the environment. But sure you can build mines in North America, Australia whatever, it won't happen overnight though. Could take years to replace Chinese imports.

Yeah his takes on China are blatant propaganda. More like China just doesn't want to deal with the EU. They want to deal with EU countries individually so they can treat them differentially and ideally split them. They treated Macron really well, rolled out the red carpet but snubbed Von Der Leyen.

@HJ_Extravaganza It's pretty stupid to believe that one of the biggest economies in the world isn't big enough to have enough leverage to be able to negotiate trade deals. Go look up countries ranked by total economy size.
