  1. Here's a clue on his great insight - he can't even pronounce the names of some of the most important personalities in Russia - hardly an obscure, unimportant country. Also, check out some of his earlier predictions - it's not a great track record.

  3. Check the actual numbers before you believe the Zeihan fairy tale. Russia's demographics are pretty dire that's true but pretty average by Western standards. Most of Eastern Europe is in fact worse. As for the Russian economy, it's going to grow by 2% this year. It's hardly collapsing. And nor is its international trade. It's successfully replacing European markets with Asian markets. Finally, there's no sign Russia is interested in a cease fire judging by the statements of the leadership. Apparently, the Russian leadership believes it will win.
