The delusion of you guys is hilarious. With a much smaller budget than the USA Russia munitions production is outstripping the USA in important areas. As for skillset, with a population less than half the USA, Russia trains more engineers. Not gender studies graduates or critical race theorists, or finance bros, engineers.

@yurisonovab3892 Look it up. Russia graduates more engineers than the USA.

@cymeriandesigns Some truth to that but two points: US wealth is built on massive debt and a deficit nobody has a plan to control. In short, US prosperity which is what attracts that foreign talent is living on borrowed time. Second point - it shouldn't be so expensive to train people. The US university system is severely broken. Look at the cost of fees vs. average earnings, it's been creeping up over decades. No good reason for that.

@jorgeenchilada You think US educational standards are as high as in Russia? PISA says Russia is higher by several places. Russian universities are pretty good, they're academically elitist and cheap. And not infected with PC.
3
@JasperKlijndijk No it didn't - the British army did run low on heavy artillery shells in the first year of the war but definitely not the first week.

If you've got old junk and you're fighting a major war of course you're going to use up the old junk.

@Somerandomname1999 Because quantity matters. Obviously. It's like saying why would the US need to buy Patriot missiles from Japan if they can't produce their own (which is happening). The US do produce their own (obviously that's where Patriots are from) but in a major war, ammunition consumption is huge.
2
And buying back Patriot missiles from Japan because the US is running so low

Why would Russia be desperate? They're winning the war. Look up the average age of Ukrainian soldiers, it's up to ten years older than their Russian counter parts now. What do you think happened to the younger soldiers?
2
@YaroslavGovorunov Russian nuclear weapons are more modern than US weapons on average. US nuclear modernisation hasn't been prioritised after decades of fighting third world insurgent forces.
2
@yurisonovab3892 US military budget is ten times the Russian military budget and Russia is still outproducing the US in artillery ammo, missiles and nuclear weapons. Where does that huge US spending go?

@yurisonovab3892 Still losing? Are you following the same war as me? I watch daily updates from the channels Military Summary Weeb Union, DPA war and Theti Mapping, it's been obvious Ukraine has been losing for the past year.

@HWEspana If Ukraine was being armed by Russia instead of being armed by all of NATO then no the US couldn't conquer it in a week. How? There'd still be the same problem of minefields. The Ukrainian army and US army are roughly similar size. Russian satellites would allow Ukrainian missiles to target American airbases, logistics and command hubs. Russian SAMs would shoot down US aircraft. The US is basically an air/naval power, the naval part wouldn't help in Ukraine and valuable aircraft are vulnerable to cheap SAMs. It would be a long, hard slog.

Doesn't fit the US rocks, Russia sucks agenda
