FPV drones can't destroy a real tank, the payload is too small.

Also, the drones are directed by US air assets. If the Russians were allowed to target them the drones would have to rely entirely on their own autonomous AI.

I was initially impressed by Peter until he started talking about stuff I know something about then I realised he's 80% full of B.S. but with very slick delivery and plenty of confidence.

Not really, the Russians just used FABs to destroy any Ukrainian position they spotted. The Russians lost a lot of vehicles at the start of the operation but higher manpower losses than Ukraine? Unlikely. Check mediazona for a chronological breakdown of identified Russian deaths, Russian casualties this year have dropped right off.

@RemusCroft BMPs yes, tanks no although there maybe a few exeptions. I've seen hundreds of hours of footage. Usually FPV drones don't seriously damage a MBT at all. That goes for both sides.

They do. That's why they're winning. The Russian manpower on the front is actually less than Ukrainian manpower and Ukraine is armed by all of NATO.

Ukrainian propaganda which its Zeihan's job to propagate. Real Russian casualties are tracked by mediazona and they were nowhere near as high as Zeihan makes out. Also at Bakhmut most of the Russian casualties were Wagner prison convicts ie. what the Russians call disposable infantry. Given the Russians were burying Ukrainian positions under rubble using FABs to demolish high rise blocks it's implausible to claim Ukrainian casualties were lower than Russian casualties. Also he keeps talking about Russian human wave tactics, why is there no footage of this? I've seen hundreds of hours of footage, both sides use similar tactics except the Russians use vehicles a lot more presumably because they've got plenty.

@jeremymanson1781 Russia actually trains more engineers than the USA does despite the much smaller population. Zeihan keeps claiming Russia no longer trains engineers, it's moronic. He keeps making ridiculous claims over and over about Russia like human wave tactics, where's the footage? If half of what Zeihan said was true, Russia would be losing this war instead of grinding forward all over the front.

@jeremymanson1781 Ukraine had the second biggest military in NATO and is armed by all of NATO. It's a significant enemy. As for Russian losses, yes most people believe this but take a look into why you believe this. The Oryx blog for example has been shown to be full of errors e.g. inventing and exaggerating Russian losses and classifying Ukrainian losses and Russian. Auditing a random sample found plenty of errors. Hard to know whether deliberate or not. As for personnel losses, we hear about hundreds of thousand of Russians killed but mediazona can only identity just over 40,000 of them. There's a hell of a lot of wishful thinking going on here.
